This year has two stories that have consumed the media, Coronavirus and George Floyd.
Important, yes, but deserving of all the attention, no. You see, when you make something THE story you ignore many other important topics. For me it is childhood sexual abuse. This is an anathema for me that it goes unreported and uninvestigated. No, the Catholic Church scandals reporting wasn’t enough. As long as innocent little ones are being abused, the best of us are being destroyed one by one. Before a life really begins it is crippled permanently.
I am upset that the news media only see’s one topic at a time when there are souls being extinguished even as I write this. It will never be important enough to anyone but those who have been directly affected by abuse. No one cares and I really hate that.

You are so correct about the media in America.
If you were an alien and landed in the U.S. then watched the news channel you would think that there is just one or two things happening.

We quit watching the news and TV in general about 3 years ago. Best decision in years! We get enough just from logging onto the internet and from social media. But at least we can control which news we see. And I prefer to get to know people, like you, from different walks of life and who live in other countries to get a more balanced view of human stories. ❤️🦋🌀
